Friday, January 14 – Sunday, January 16
After a year hiatus we are excited to be going skiing together again as a youth group! As some may remember, we partner with Actionski of Raleigh to make this trip possible. We consider it a “ski retreat” that will not only allow us to have outdoor winter fun together but also foster our fellowship as Christians. Each evening we will have a devotion that points us more in the way of Christ. We will travel via charter buses to Winterplace, West Virginia, for two days of skiing over the Dr. King holiday weekend (Friday, January 14 – Sunday, January 16). Lauren Hood and Leigh Stuckey will be the staff leading this year’s trip.
The cost is $350 and includes ski & helmet rentals, a two-day lift ticket, charter bus travel, two nights’ hotel stay (four youth per room), pizza dinner on Saturday night, continental breakfast each morning, and a t-shirt. Extras (snowboards, attire, lessons) may be purchased. Please indicate your rentals on the signup form below as well as all downloadable forms. *We highly recommend group lessons for first-time skiers.
As we learned over the past couple of years, there is always the possibility that Covid could cause us to have to postpone or cancel this trip. Refund details:
•If WPC must cancel due to the pandemic before December 20, refunds will be issued.
•If WPC cancels due to the pandemic between December 20 and the trip date, refunds cannot be promised because Actionski, the hotel, and ski resort cannot offer refunds at that point.
Questions? Contact Lauren Hood.
Please download the Information and Liability Release Form and the Helmet Rental Agreement Form. Both forms need to be submitted to the church office by December 10. We will also need a current medical release form on file for your youth prior to the trip.
