Children’s Church is normally offered for children in Kindergarten through First Grade during worship. Children are invited to leave worship with a pastor for a time of worship and education. Family volunteers lead crafts and games with children until the end of worship when parents come pick them up.
This fall, Children’s Church will be on demand on our YouTube Channel. Children will hear a Bible story, sing, pray, and learn about the elements of Westminster’s Sunday worship. There will even be ideas for crafts, games, and snacks to match the lesson. Families can easily access Children’s Church at http://www.youtube.com/wpcgreenville.
This fall, It’s Elementary will explore the books of the Bible! Faith formation resources with age specific activities will be provided for you to use at home. This year, there are even options for preschoolers and kindergarten. Once a month, children in Grades 1-5 can participate in Zoom meetings led by It’s Elementary ministry leaders and volunteers. In-person pop-up gatherings may also be offered later this fall, including recreation games, fellowship, and prayer. These gatherings will follow the safety protocols approved by the COVID-19 Task Force.

The Cherub Choir, developed for children in K4 and K5, exposes young voices to new sounds and experiences through music. Children sing in special Christmas and end-of-year programs. Cherubs meet in Room 207 from 3:30-4:00 beginning each October.
The Children’s Choir, which aims to teach our children the story of faith through music education, is split into two groups, Junior Choristers (1st and 2nd Grades) and Senior Choristers (3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades). Choirs develop basic music skills through singing, listening, and playing instruments. Both choirs have opportunities to lead the congregation in worship throughout the year. Choristers meet from 4:30-5:15pm on Wednesdays. Junior Choristers gather in Room 118, Seniors in the Fellowship Hall.
Parent volunteers are always needed. Please contact Katie Knauer for more information.

You can expect videos with some familiar faces, new VBS songs, crafts, Compassion in Action projects and much more! These activities will be done at home, at your own pace, the week of August 3. You just need a computer with internet access. We’ll provide the rest. Registration ended July 15.
