Youth Ministries

Grades 6-12

We invite you to join us at Westminster for our offering of youth programs! Our youth ministry, for students in Grades 6 – 12, provides a Christian community that offers worship, service, study, and fellowship. Here at Westminster, we guide our youth in developing and deepening a faithful relationship with one another and with Christ.

Middle School


Sunday School

10:00AM on 3rd Floor

Middler Sunday School meets each Sunday from September – May at 10:00am on the 3rd Floor of the campus. Grades 5 and 6 meet in Room 301A while 7 and 8 meet in 302. Classes are taught by volunteers and parents under the supervision of Mary Kathleen Duncan, Associate Pastor for Youth and their Families, and the WPC Education Committee.

Youth Group

Our Middler program serves youth grades 6-8 and provides opportunities for worship, education, service, and fellowship. All Middlers are invited to join us in the Youth Suite at 5:00 each Sunday for youth group followed by dinner in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00. Those who wish are encouraged to stay for Middler Choir in the Choir Room at 6:30.


Senior High


Sunday School

10:00AM in Youth Suite

The Senior High Sunday School Class meets in the Youth Suite each Sunday during the program year (September-May) at 10:00am and is led by adult volunteers and our Associate Pastor for Youth and their Families, Mary Kathleen Duncan.

Youth Group

Our Senior High program serves youth grades 9-12 and provides opportunities for worship, education, service, and fellowship. All Senior Highs are encouraged to participate in both the Senior High Choir and Youth Groups. The Choir meets at 5:15 in the Choir Room followed by dinner at 6:00 in the Fellowship Hall. Youth Group, led by Mary Kathleen Duncan and a group of Youth Advisors, begins at 6:30 in the Youth Suite.


Confirmation Class


Confirmation is an important stage in our life as a church. Youth in 9th Grade are invited to a special Sunday School class during Lent. During the class they will examine their faith and the history and theology of the Presbyterian Church. Upon completion of the class they are invited to become full members of Westminster.

Please note the 2018 Confirmation Schedule including memory verses and concepts covered during each session. Unless otherwise noted, meetings will be held in Room 300 from 10:00am-12:15pm on appointed Sundays.

Youth Choir


The Youth Choir provides opportunities to sing our faith, lead in worship, and engage in fellowship. Led by Mark Kemp, Director of Music at Westminster, the choir meets weekly.

Basketball


Westminster Presbyterian Church offers opportunities for Christian fellowship and recreation throughout the year.

Open to youth ages K5 – 12th grades. The league plays from the beginning of November until the first of February. Practices vary during the week. Games are held on Saturday mornings and Monday evenings. All youth are invited to participate. Adults are needed to coach.
